Samantha Ronson looks like a reluctant participant at Goa nightclub last night. The venue was billed as Hollywood’s hippest crowd joining GameSpot in celebration of the nation’s largest video gaming conference.
The DJ appeared to be camera shy, while all of the other partygoers lined up to be photographed on the red carpet. The quirky musician bobbed and ducked in an attempt to make herself invisible to the paparazzi. We’re not sure if Ronson was on hand to do the record spinning or just taking in the scene.
The celebrity friendly nightclub is reportedly as much about lounging as dancing, with plenty of comfy furniture for intimate gatherings. Bartenders are decked out in Indian dress. Moroccan light fixtures cast an amber glow and Persian rugs line the walls and ceilings. The menu is heavy on sushi. The establishment is next door the gay hot spot The Spotlight.
According to Ronson’s website, she has been busy with her record spinning and continues to field more high profile offers on a daily basis. The 30 year old London born hip hop artist and DJ had this to say about her chosen profession:
“This is the best job I can imagine: playing music I love, hanging with my friends, and giving people something to dance to.”
Ronson’s girlfriend, Lindsay Lohan, was nowhere to be seen – perhaps staying away from the alcohol temptation. The couple are reportedly in a romantic relationship – see telling photos here.
