Paris Hilton celebrated her 30th birthday with a Moulin Rouge-themed party complete with a $3200 cake designed specifically for the occasion by Viridian Spirits, makers of Lucid absinthe, a key ingredient used in the cake’s batter.
Unfortunately, the hotel heiress won’t get to sample the absinthe-spiked confection, because it was stolen by a party crasher who goes by the name “Paz.”
Paz, a Yale graduate and Hollywood-based musician, according to his Facebook page, bragged about the heist on the social networking site.
“I woke up and Paris Hilton’s birthday cake was on my kitchen table… its all a blur. WTF should I do with this?” he posted.
After a storm of media attention, Paz elaborated with a long Facebook note, complete with pictures from the party, titled, “I crashed Paris Hilton’s Birthday Party and Accidently the Whole Cake.”
“I woke up this morning with a $2000 birthday cake in my living room,” he wrote. “It’s big. It’s red. It says “Paris”. And its f***ing delicious.”
He then details how his pal “Kevin” helped him sneak in to Hilton’s bash, and how the two walked out with the extravagant birthday cake.
Read the entire story in Paz’s Facebook note.
“It is very unfortunate that someone stole the cake from Paris’ birthday party,” said Jared Gurfein, CEO of Viridian Spirits. “We had the cake designed especially for Paris with Lucid in the batter and a beautiful representation of Lucid’s artwork on it, which she had requested to meet the Moulin Rouge theme of the party.”
