Known for his strong views on the acceptance of medicinal marijuana, talk show host Montel Williams found himself in a bit of trouble at General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee Tuesday.
The 54-year-old is an activist for the rights of medical marijuana but that doesn’t mean anything to Wisconsin authorities. The sheriff that is involved with the case stated that the TSA found a pipe, commonly used to smoke weed, when the celebrity was going through a security checkpoint.
Montel was fined $484, which he paid immediately and went about his travels. This isn’t the first time he has raised a red flag at an airport. Williams had a similar issue at Detroit Metro some years back.
Williams was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1999 and uses the drug to help with chronic pain.
