Paris Hilton has thrown her hat into the presidential race, unveiling her own energy plan in a video spoof campaign ad in response to Republican John McCain‘s use of her image in a television ad last week.
The McCain ad, called “Celeb,” compared Obama to Paris and Britney Spears, saying “He’s the biggest celebrity in the world – but is he ready to lead?”
In Hilton’s mock campaign ad she says she wants America to know “I’m, like, totally ready to lead.”
Combining both candidates’ energy policy platforms, Paris says, “We can do limited offshore drilling with strict environmental oversight while creating tax incentives to get Detroit making hybrid and electric cars. … Energy crisis solved, I’ll see you at the debates, bitches!”
McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds issued the following statement:
“It sounds like Paris Hilton supports John McCain’s ‘all of the above’ approach to America’s energy crisis – including both alternatives and drilling. Paris Hilton might not be as big a celebrity as Barack Obama, but she obviously has a better energy plan.”
While Obama spokesman Bill Burton responded:
“Whatever.”
Paris Hilton for President? That’s hot.
