Lily Allen had a shock recently when her grandmother passed away on June 29, 2008. Though the singers ‘nan’ had been ill for several years, it was a blow to Allen, who was reportedly close to her.
In order to be respectable at her grandmother’s funeral, Allen dyed her fuchsia pink hair a dark shade of brunette. Lily had gone pink from platinum blonde in early June. She made the following entry on her MySpace page:
“I’m back to black bitch. I got bored of the pink. I can’t believe I’m posting a blog about my hair. You may have heard my nan passed away last weekend. We were close and even though she had been very ill for the past few years, it was a big shock. Anyway, the point is my nan would have killed me if I went to her funeral with pink hair so there is another reason.”
