Just when we thought we had heard the last of Jon Gosselin, he has reared his head again to feel sorry for himself. He turned to Twitter to lament his latest failed attempt to mess with TLC and Kate Gosselin.
The unemployed father of eight children went back to court to persuade a judge to pull his kids from television. The judge wasn’t swayed and the unemployed father left with zero satisfaction for the second time.
The latest ruling allows Kate Gosselin and the kids to continue filming the TLC reality show Kate Plus 8 – their primary means of support. She has also supplemented her income with a bikini photo shoot and even performed a comedic dance routine with Jimmy Kimmel at this year’s Emmy Awards.
So what did Jon have to say on Twitter? “Each of my children has experienced some negative effects from having their lives so public. Some are struggling with emotional and behavioral issues… Money comes and goes but you only have one childhood.”
He continued: “I am supporting my children to the best of my ability. I have been seeking employment but thus far have not secured a position. I honor the judges decision but I do not support it. It is not a child’s job to support themselves, or a lifestyle… I want to apologize to my children for not taking a stand earlier to have our lives documented and displayed. I am truly sorry!”
Another family of sextuplets is in the ugly throws of divorce. Bryan Masche and his physicians assistant wife Jenny Masche have separated and she has filed for divorce. Things began to unravel when they decided to pull up stakes and move away from their family support system in Arizona, deciding to start a new life in Destin, Florida where she had a job waiting and he did not.
On a visit back to visit family in Arizona, he had a meltdown and ended up in jail for threatening violence against his wife and his father-in-law. Police had to use a Taser weapon in order to get his cooperation during the arrest.
UPDATE: It turns out that Jon Gosselin violated a court order when he commented about the outcome of the 6-hour court proceeding on Twitter. Kate’s lawyer Mark Momjian plans to make sure the judge is aware of the legal breach. He indicates that the court is very clear in demanding confidentiality by all parties involved. Oh, oh, Jon…
