Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem received a windfall of blessings on Tuesday. He received an Academy Award nomination for Biutiful in the Best Actor category and they welcomed a baby son.
Cruz gave birth to the couple’s first child at Los Angeles Cedars Sinai Hospital. The first time mother married her baby daddy in the Bahamas last summer.
It is the 41-year-old Spanish actors third Oscar nomination. He won in the Best Supporting category for Love in the Time of Cholera in 2007.
Mama is no slouch either. Cruz, 36, has received several nominations in the Best Actress category and won in the Best Supporting category for Vicky Cristina Barcelona in 2008.
