Heidi Montag has joined forces with Oscar-winning producer Ron Howard to create a cosmetic surgery spoof video. The Funny or Die project is part of a series launched by the Americans for Financial Reform, whose mission is to urge Congress to act on and pass financial reform.

The reality show star had 10 plastic surgery procedures in a marathon session at the end of 2009. Her role in the video was to speak out about the horrors of having to pay for plastic surgery with a credit card.

Heidi views the video as a springboard for a whole new career. She said, “I was honored to work with the amazing Ron Howard. He was even more incredible that I could have imagined. He made me feel confident in my talent. I’m so excited about my acting future. I can’t wait for my next role. This is just the beginning of a whole new world for me.”

She even managed to get a cameo appearance for hubby Spencer Pratt. It turns out he had a little surgery of his own last week.
