Fan favorite Halle Berry was stunning at the 42nd Annual NAACP Image Awards. The star-studded event was held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The show was broadcast on FOX and was hosted by Holly Robinson Peete and Wayne Brady.
Vanessa Williams was named Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series for her role on the ABC hit Desperate Housewives. Sofia Vergara won in the supporting category for ABC hit Modern Family.
Regina King won Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series for her role in the TNT hit Southland. Tatyana Ali won Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama Series for CBS soap The Young and the Restless. The View, the ABC morning mainstay, won Outstanding Talk Series.
Halle Berry won Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture for Frankie & Alice, and shared the Best Independent film prize for the same movie.
Other attendees included a very pregnant Tia Mowry, Porsche Coleman, Millicent Shelton, Anika Noni Rose, Shonda Rhimes and Kimberly Elise.
