7-year-old Gina Incandela is wowing crowds, performing the National Anthem in stadiums across the country.

As noted by NBC Today Show‘s Natalie Morales (see video below), this is an amazing accomplishment for anyone her age, but especially for Gina, who is living with autism.

Gina’s parents were told that she would probably never speak when she was diagnosed with autism at age two. Through a music therapy program, the talented little girl overcame her disability, and began speaking at age three.

At age five, Gina heard the National Anthem on TV and decided she wanted to sing at a major league baseball game. Her mother found a try-out for a Spring Training game for the New York Mets, and on May 12, 2008, the singing dynamo performed at Shea Stadium when the Mets played the Cincinatti Reds.

Gina most recently performed at the U.S. Open Tennis Tournament in New York. She says she likes singing because “it makes people happy.” She is represented by The Publicity Agency.
