Maria Gabriela Perez, the woman accused of scamming almost $300,000 from her wealthy Chez Gabriela Studio clientele, was released on $50,000 bail on Thursday.

Perez owns the swanky Beverly Hills salon Chez Gabriela and is charged with gathering information on clients like Liv Tyler, Anne Hathaway and Melanie Griffith and charging their credit cards without authorization.

Maria’s mother Irene Gonzalez put up the family home to secure bail. “We’re very pleased that she was released. Maria is happy to be going home,” her attorney Jerod Gunsberg told RadarOnline.

Perez’s other attorney Stephen Kahn added, “At this point everything is very preliminary. She did not enter a plea because today was not an arraignment. It’s very easy to make accusations but at this point everything we know so far has us believing that she is innocent.”

Perez has been charged with two counts of fraud and faces a maximum prison sentence of 25 years if she is convicted.
