Pop star Britney Spears has a very loyal fan base that has stuck by her through thick and thin. The singer just received the honor of being named the ‘Greatest Gay Icon of All Time’ — and not because of her sexual preferences.
The pop star received 31% of the votes in the Orange County Equality Project poll, beating out Madonna, Cher, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.
How long will this honor last? Joel Waddell of Equality Project said, “When Madonna puts out a new album, she will be on top again. Madonna is the greatest icon the gay community has ever had.”
Let us not forget about Gaga’s new Born This Way single that Sir Elton John called the new “Gay Anthem.”
