Two weeks after Kanye West trashed Jimmy Kimmel on Twitter, the rapper has agreed to be a guest Wednesday on the late-night ‘Live’ show.
The “rap feud” began when Kimmel did a parody of West’s recent BBC interview, using a kid to recite direct quotes. One boy delivers a heartfelt dialogue while the other sips a milk shake from a straw while looking totally uninterested in the spiel.
Kanye went ballistic with a series of profanity laced tweets that trashed Jimmy and cast A-list actor Ben Affleck in a decidedly bad light.
In true Kimmel fashion, he addressed each of the Twitter missives as they appeared on social media after asking his audience, “Did anyone else get a very angry phone call from Kanye West about an hour and a half ago? Just me? OK. I didn’t know if he was mad at all of us.”
Forging on, he explained, “He got very angry because of a bit we aired this week. He gave me the option of apologize. He said ‘Your life is going to be much better if you apologize.'”
The Twitter rants was deleted while Kanye was taking in Paris Fashion Week with Kim Kardashian. Perhaps she encouraged her baby daddy to play nice.
It remains to be seen whether the talk show host will in fact offer up his regrets — or if the ‘Yeezus’ singer will humble himself in front of the masses. Stay tuned…
