The Food Network will not punish Bobby Deen and his brother Jamie Deen for the N-Word scandal that is currently swirling around their famous mother, Paula Deen.

The network fired the Southern cooking diva yesterday, ending their successful eleven year partnership. The good news is that Bobby’s ‘Not My Mama’s Meal’s’ and ‘Home for Dinner’ featuring Jamie will continue to be filmed and broadcast.

Paula showed her gratitude with this statement: “I have had the pleasure of being allowed into so many homes across the country and meeting people who have shared with me the most touching and personal stories. This would not have been possible without the Food Network. Love and best dishes to all of ya’ll.”

Jamie Deen tweeted, “A heartfelt thank y’all to those who have sent love and support for mom and our family. #pray.”

Friday turned out to be a wild ride for Paula Deen. It started early when she blew off a sit down interview with Matt Lauer on TODAY, citing “exhaustion.”

Several hours later Deen recorded two videos. The first was pulled from YouTube after it received a great deal of criticism. The second video, a decidedly better effort, included an apology to Lauer.

We’ve included a photo of Paula and her sons posing with Al Roker during a recent guest appearance on TODAY.
