During the final evening of competition on season four of the NBC hit singing competition ‘The Voice,’ Usher Raymond declared his protege Michelle Chamuel “the winner.”
Shakira seemed to agree, “Your energy is contagious. You’re extraordinary. You’re needed out there, as an artist.”
Coach Blake Shelton was kind but saved his best praise for his two remaining acts – The Swon Brothers and 16-year-old phenom Danielle Bradbery.
Chamuel, 26, is a former member of the band Ella Riot under the artistic trade name “The Reverb Junkie.” Her studio version of the Taylor Swift song ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’, released on June 3, 2013, peaked at #4 on the iTunes Chart, cinching her advancement to the final round of competition.
Her best performance of the evening, in our humble opinion, was a duet rendition of U2’s ‘One’ with Usher.
