Rapper Lil Wayne has many American’s disgusted after a controversial film clip from his ‘God Bless Amerika’ music video shoot went viral on YouTube.
The footage, captured by a bystander with a cell phone, shows the rapper stomping on an American flag during filming in his hometown of New Orleans.
He started out by rapping these inflammatory lyrics while standing in front of an American flag backdrop, “My country ’tis of thee / Sweet land of kill ’em all and let ’em die / God bless Amerika / This ole’ godless Amerika.”
During the set, the flag drops to the ground and he repeatedly tramples it while continuing to perform the song.
The single, released in March, was produced by Cool & Dre, appears on Wayne’s latest album, ‘I Am Not a Human Being II.’ The rap track rose to No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
