Pat and Cissy Houston have withdrawn their court challenge of Whitney Houston‘s will, and have agreed that the installment payments to sole beneficiary Bobbi Kristina Brown can be paid out as originally established.
Bobbi Kristina’s grandmother and aunt are co-executors of Whitney’s estate and were afraid that the amount of money that Bobbi was to inherit would be “too much, too soon.”
The $20 million inheritance will be doled out in three lump sums: 10% when she turns 21 ($2 mil), 20% at age 25 ($4 mil) and the remainder when she turns 30 ($16 mil).
Now that grandma has agreed to dismiss her challenge, the first payment will be paid to Bobbi Kristina on March 4, 2014.
The family recently debuted their new Lifetime reality show The Houstons: On Our Own. Los Angeles Times critic, Gerrick Kennedy, panned the premiere as “disturbingly intrusive” and “exploitive.”
The family began filming fourteen half-hour episodes three months after Whitney died. You can catch all of the week-two action on Wednesday, Oct. 31.
