After enjoying an audience of 5.74 million viewers during its premiere outing, the new FX sitcom ‘Anger Management’ dropped off dramatically during the second week.
Charlie Sheen had a decidedly successful debut last Thursday in back-to-back half hour episodes. Unfortunately that was not the case this Thursday night, when the third episode aired in the 9:30 p.m. time slot.
The latest segment drew 3.37 million viewers, down a significant 2 million from last week. A 40 percent drop has undoubtedly raised some network eyebrows but it is clearly too early to draw any definitive conclusions.
Sheen and company have been guaranteed a 10-episode run by distributor Debmar-Mercury, with a 90-episode renewal hanging in the balance. You can bet they’ll be keeping a close eye on the numbers.
