Jackass star Steve-O didn’t make it through customs unscathed at Calgary International Airport yesterday. Officials quickly discovered that there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest and he was hauled off to jail.

The warrant alleges that Stephen Gilchrist Glover attacked another person with an unspecified object, leading to a charge of assault with a weapon. The incident took place during a performance at the University of Calgary on December 31, 2003.

Steve-O spent little time behind bars before he appeared before a judge, who ordered him to pay $10,000 cash bail. The stunt performer is due back in a Canadian court in May.

The television personality has a new book due out in June. Professional Idiot: A Memoir, penned by Steve-O and David Peisner, chronicles his rise to fame via the wildly popular Jackass film series.
