Standout performance …
Steven Tyler was more than a little bit impressed last night by the soulful performance of Jacob Lusk on American Idol. After the popular contestant finished his rendition of You’re All I Need to Get By, he received a hug and a kiss from the judge – a first for the reality singing show.
Tyler bounded up on stage and announced: “Baby Luther (Vandross), that was beautiful … you did it.” Randy Jackson then chimed in: “Know what was wrong with that performance? Absolutely nothing.”
Lusk remarked after the show: “It was all kind of a blur. It was an amazing night. I’m just kind of overwhelmed and physically exhausted. To finally be back in the groove and know that fans were there supporting me was amazing.”
