Going country …
Veteran songstress Cher, known for her pop rock vocals over the course of nearly five decades, has decided to give country music a whirl. Her appearance at the 2010 Country Music Awards suddenly begins to make some sense.
Cher last released a solo album ten years ago. Living Proof debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 albums chart but never reached the success of its predecessor Believe. She recently wound up a multi-year Sin City gig at Caesars Palace and scored a movie success with Burlesque.
Now the 64-year-old raven-haired artist has hooked up with music producer Mark Bright to work on a country album. He has some serious creds, having previously worked with the likes of Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts and Reba McEntire.
Hell Yeah, Y’all!
