Will the new Angels measure up?
The new cast of ABC’s remake of Charlie’s Angels have been filming at South Beach in Miami. The gorgeous actresses, dressed in white, made their debut appearance before the cameras on Thursday.
The women are Rachael Taylor, Minka Kelly and Annie Ilonzeh. Aussie actress Rachael is currently appearing in a multi-episode arc on Grey’s Anatomy. Minka was a regular on the hit drama Friday Night Lights, and Annie started her career on the daytime soap General Hospital.
Robert Wagner will reprise the role played by the late John Forsythe, the voice of Charlie Townsend. Ramon Rodriguez has been cast as Bosley.
The original Angels, who appeared in the 1976 Aaron Spelling produced television drama, were Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith and the late Farrah Fawcett.
A big screen version in 2000 featured Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu and Cameron Diaz. Barrymore will be associated with the new television project too, serving as one of the executive producers.
