Jimmy Kimmel evacuated …
Jimmy Kimmel was relaxing on the island of French Polynesia when Japan was struck by an 8.9 magnitude earthquake and 23-foot tsunami waves that continue to ravage the coastal cities and villages.
The television host and comedian took to his Twitter page to alert his followers that he was more than a little unnerved: “Suddenly, relaxing on an island in the South Pacific isn’t so relaxing anymore. Good thing I brought my aqua stilts.”
He went on to tweet: “I’m on an island in French Polynesia, glued to CNN.” When asked about his fear level on a scale of 1-10, he responded: “A good solid 7. On a small island, with no high ground.”
His last tweet from an hour ago: “We are evacuating the island. dogspeed.”
