Shocking. right? Larry King, the former host of CNN talk show Larry King Live, has announced his plan for a comedy tour. After ending his 25 year career as a broadcaster in December, he has taken a short break and is now ready to cross over to the funny side of life.

Larry isn’t the first person that comes to mind when we’re looking for a night of laughs, but that’s beside the point. King is putting together an act that will feature a “hilarious and insightful” look at his life and career. His seven city tour will be called Larry King: Standing Up.

The tour will kick-off in Connecticut this April and will include a Sin City gig in June. A rep for the new project, to be produced by Base Entertainment, said: “Larry King’s style and wit will give audiences an evening to remember.”

Additional engagements will be added if he is able to make the leap from decidedly-dour to humorous. Must see?
