This Facebook image turned out to be a golden ticket …
Rozonno and Mia McGhee of Columbus, Ohio appeared along with their sextuplet infants on the Oprah Show Monday. Oprah Winfrey surprised them with several generous gifts.
It all started when the family posted an extraordinarily compelling family portrait on Facebook that came to O’s attention. She told her producers: “I love that photo. I have to meet them.”
The show flew the family to Chicago for what turned out to be yet another life changing experience for the McGhee parents and their babies: Olivia, Madison, Roxonno Jr, Josiah, Elijah and Isaac.
The babies arrived on June 10, 2010 at Ohio State University Medical Center. Their delivery was facilitated by 50 medical staff members. They weighed 1 pound, 12 ounces to just over 2 pounds each and remained in the NICU for three months.
The couple, married 11 years, were thrilled to be given a ‘honeymoon’ trip to Las Vegas. The four-night stay at Caesars Palace includes front row seats at a Celine Dion concert.
The audience members got in on this action — each received two tickets to Celine’s new show as well as two free nights at Caesars. She told them: “Today is your lucky day.”
Celine arrived back in Vegas last week with much fanfare and a press conference with her four-month-old twin sons. Her three-year stint at The Colosseum at Caesars begins in March.
Oprah, famous for her generosity, gave Mia and Rozonno a real eye-opening surprise when she announced that they would also receive a $250,000 gift card for future purchases at Walmart.
The talk show host gave a shout-out to Rozonno’s carpet and upholstery cleaning business, urging the good citizens of Columbus to check out what he has to offer. This should ensure that future business will be bustling.
More good things are sure to come this family’s way now that they have been given the national exposure and the O stamp of approval.
