Jessica Hahn gets another bizarre 15 minutes …
In a segment called ‘Where Are They Now’, the ladies of The View sat down with Jessica Hahn to reflect upon her 15 minutes of fame that took place back in the 80s.
Hahn, then a 21-year-old church secretary, claims to have had a religiously-coerced sexual encounter with married televangelist Jim Bakker. The revelation helped to topple his empire. She went on to pose for Playboy.
The guest rambled on, sounding for all the world like someone under the influence of some mind or mood altering substance.
Sherri Shepherd inadvertently called the much-publicized sexual tryst “an affair” and Jessica immediately brought up Barbara Walters‘ past: “This wasn’t an affair. Unlike, I don’t want to be cruel or anything, in your book Audition you had an affair with a Senator.”
The show host admonished: “This is about you, my dear, this is not about me. OK? I’m very happy to talk about my relationships, but this is about you.”
The affair Hahn was referring to was between Barbara and Senator Edward Brooke and took place in the 70s.
