In 2009 beaten and bruised Rihanna took out a protective restraining order against then boyfriend, Chris Brown. It has been two years since all hell broke loose and Brown has requested that the order be eased.

The entertainer’s attorney said that “Rihanna does not object” to reducing the order to “do not annoy” – which is known to the courts as a Level One status. This means as long as Chris doesn’t essentially bug her in a harmful way, she’s cool.

The relaxed ruling would allow both artists to attend this weekend’s Grammy Awards ceremony. Rihanna is up for six Grammys, five are for her Love the Way You Lie duet with Eminem.

The jury is still out on whether the court system will make an eleventh hour ruling that will allow Brown to attend the Grammy event. He is nominated for three awards but according to his rep – at this point he hasn’t gotten the go-ahead to appear.

On a side note, Rihanna is currently suffering from bronchitis and laryngitis and has been unable to rehearse. Despite Eminem’s willingness to let her off the hook, the songstress insists that she will be ready for their Sunday night performance.
