Pretty Boy Floyd cashes in on NBA wagers …
Pro boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a betting man and over the course of the last month has cashed in big time on a Miami Heat wager and netted $90K yesterday on an Orlando Magic bet.
Pretty Boy is undefeated with 41 wins and is rated the number two pound-for-pound boxer in the world. Apparently the 33-year-old enjoys some friendly sports betting on the side.
On Christmas day 2010 he placed a wager on the second half of the Heat vs Lakers game. Floyd took the Heat +4.5 and the score turned out to be 47-38 at the half. The athlete got a payout of $36,000.
On January 31, 2011 the boxer, who also goes by the nickname Money, ‘tweeted‘ about his good fortune during Monday’s Orlando Magic game. He laid down a $100K bet that Magic would be ahead by half a point at halftime. The score was 58-54 and Floyd collected a cool $90K.
On the downside, the super athlete was arrested on September 10, 2010 and was released after posting bail. He faces up to 34 years in prison if convicted of two felony coercion charges, one felony robbery charge, a misdemeanor domestic battery charge and three misdemeanor harassment charges. The allegations were brought forward by his gorgeous former girlfriend Josie Harris.
