It was revealed today that Michael Douglas has throat cancer and will undergo eight weeks of radiation and chemotherapy. According to his publicist, Allen Burry, the actor is expected to make a full recovery and “is very optimistic.”
The 65-year-old husband of Catherine Zeta-Jones requires treatment for a throat tumor, and is reportedly undergoing the medical treatments outside of the U.S., though the location has not been disclosed.

Douglas won an Academy Award for his 1987 role in “Wall Street”. The sequel “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” will hit theaters on September 24, 2010 – the day before the actor turns 66.
