Accused ‘Craigslist Killer’ Philip Markoff committed suicide Sunday in the Boston jail where he was awaiting trial.

Radar Online reports that before taking his own life Markoff wrote his ex-fiancee’s name on his prison cell wall in blood.

Law enforcement officials associated with the case say Markoff wrote the name “Megan” and the word “pocket” on his cell wall in the Nashua Street Jail.

Markoff, 24, was engaged to Megan McAllister – Saturday would have been the couple’s first anniversary but the wedding was canceled after his arrest.

The former Boston University student, was scheduled to go on trial in March 2011 for the fatal shooting of Julissa Brisman, of New York City, and the armed robbery of a Las Vegas woman.

Markoff met the women through advertisements for erotic services posted on Craigslist, a classified advertising Web site, prosecutors said.
