Willie Nelson has shocked his fans by chopping off his signature braids, opting for a shorter do as he hangs loose in Hawaii.
Nelson’s spokesperson Elaine Schock said she thought he might have grown tired of dealing with his waist-long locks. “There’s a lot of maintenance,” she said.
The country music icon described his lopped locks as “the haircut heard around the world.”
