Less than a month after reaching a settlement in his divorce from his wife of almost seven years, James Van Der Beek announced he and girlfriend Kimberly Brook are expecting their first child.
“Yes, it’s true—the woman I love and I are expecting our first child…currently experiencing joy on levels I never knew existed,” he tweeted today.
The actor, who played Dawson Leery on the WB series Dawson’s Creek, said he is overwhelmed by his baby news.
Van Der Beek, 33, met Brooke – whose Twitter bio describes her as a “Kabbalah student” and “citizen of the world,” last July.
