In the new Atom Egoyan psychological thriller, “Chloe,” Amanda Seyfried and Julianne Moore share a steamy kiss and sex scene.
Moore’s character, Catherine, suspects her husband, played by Liam Neeson, is cheating on her, and sets out to prove it by hiring a prostitute, Chloe (Amanda Seyfried), to tempt him. In the process, Catherine finds herself drawn to Chloe, providing the audience with a voyeuristic opportunity to watch the two engage in an intense sex scene.
While Moore, 49, was comfortable shooting the scene, Seyfried, 24, was so intimidated that she tried to back out of the film.
“The risk factor came with the fact that the nudity could potentially create some damage with my American audience,” she said. Still, “I had to do it. It was clearly the riskier choice but I think the better choice.”
