Sarah and Vinnie Suspended from Alice 97.3 FM (PHOTOS)

sarah vinnie where have you gone

The familiar voices of Sarah Clark and Vinnie Hasson, who appear daily as Sarah & Vinnie on San Francisco's Radio Alice 97.3, were noticeably absent from the radio booth on Monday, January 25, 2010.  The popular hosts are normally on weekdays from 5:30 AM to 10 AM on KLLC.  The radio site is the most visited modern adult contemporary radio station website in America.

Rumors are swirling that homophobic slurs made last week during the Sarah & Vinnie program caused a large volume of complaints to come in to KLLC FM.  Vinnie was suspended, and his on air partner Sarah is reportedly on vacation.  In any case, rumor has it they will be issuing an apology to their listeners in the near future.  No word on how long they will be MIA.

The pair have worked together twice.  Their first stint lasted five years before Vinnie was fired for performance issues related to alcohol addiction.  He was reinstated in August 2008.  According to his bio, he was "blessed with a second chance to work with Sarah on Alice" after "getting healthy".

Last year the Rob, Arnie & Dawn Show was suspended when the trio engaged in a transgender rant - check it out here.
