Antonio Banderas, 47, is a Spanish film actor and singer. He hails from Malaga, in southern Spain and makes the yearly pilgrimage to visit his mother and participate in the towns annual Easter procession, dressed in religious garb. We’ve got photos below, showing Banderas wearing sturdier shoes than his elderly mother. We think they’re part of the borrowed outfit because hot hunks don’t wear orthopedic shoes, as a rule.
Banderas has four project in the works right now, and commitments for several others. The Other Man, currently being filmed in Milan, Italy, tells the story of a husband who suspects his wife of adultery, and sets out to track down the other man in her life. Other cast members include Liam Neeson and Laura Linney.
The Code is another upcoming crime/heist film which stars Banderas and Morgan Freeman. The plot involves a veteran thief, who recruits a younger crook to help him pull off one final job in order to repay his debt to the Russian mob.
My Mom’s New Boyfriend and Memoirs of Hadrian are other projects planned for 2008. He has lent his voice to the character of Puss and Boots in the first three Shrek movies (photo above shows the actor in a recording session), and has committed to doing two more.
Banderas is married to actress Melanie Griffith. The couple have an 11 year old daughter Stella. Griffith is the daughter of actress Tippi Hedren and former wife of actor Don Johnson.
