41-year-old Halle Berry gave birth to a 7 lb 4 oz baby girl at Cedars-Sinai hospital at 10:17am on Sunday.
Halle originally arrived at the hospital around 4:00am Saturday morning because she felt she was going into labor. After a bit of a scare with escalating blood pressure, the doctors sent the actress, who is diabetic, home around 2:45pm after getting her blood pressure regulated.
Halle came back to the hospital at 11:00pm on Saturday, after feeling the contractions more intensely.
According to Star magazine:
“Halle was overcome with emotion when she finally held her little girl. She said everything she had gone through was worth that moment. The tears kept coming as Halle didn’t even want the nurses to take her baby to clean her up and measure. It was a truly beautiful scene.”
