Mindy McCready, struggling country music artist, was hospitalized last week for a reported miscarriage on July 17. On the heels of that event, her personal physician made arrangements to have her transferred to an undisclosed rehab facility for immediate treatment of emotional issues stemming from the loss of a baby as well as alcohol and substance abuse.

The unplanned pregnancy was reportedly with a partner that she had known for the past three months. The 32 year old has one son, Zander, who is two years old.

The singer flew on a commercial flight to a well known facility that is frequented by celebrities and was recommended to her by the staff at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she had been receiving treatment. The proposed treatment is a month long program.

Mindy shot to fame as a teen. It was revealed in April 2008 that when she was just 15 years old she began a 10 year affair with baseball star Roger Clemens, one of many for the ballplayer. Check out those details here.

McCready’s legal woes are numerous, including arrests for fake prescriptions, speeding and DUI, identity theft, numerous probation violations, battery and resisting arrest. An abusive relationship with a former boyfriend made headlines when he was arrested for attempted murder after he beat and chocked McCready. She also attempted suicide two years ago, shortly after her son was born.

McCready has been attempting a comeback, trying to relaunch her career with new music that she composed while incarcerated for months at a time in a Nashville jail in 2006 and 2007.

We wish the troubled singer well in her recovery. Check out more photos below.
