Jon Gosselin is being sued by TLC for breach-of-contract. Lawyers for the network filed the lawsuit in the Circuit Court of Montgomery County, Maryland on Friday morning.

The suit alleges that the former reality show dad is “in violation of his contractual exclusivity” and has “entered a lucrative arrangement to appear regularly on Entertainment Tonight and its companion show The Insider to discuss his family and the problems he was having with Mrs. Gosselin, and he routinely sells photographic rights to various media outlets.”

Additional details outlined within the court documents reveal that Jon blew off a request by TLC to film the family on September 24. Five days later TLC announced that they would relaunch the show in November as Kate Plus Eight.

Jon then requested that TLC release him from an exclusivity clause so that he could pursue other paying opportunities while remaining on the TLC payroll. When the request was denied, Jon decided that his eight kids would no longer be allowed to participate in the reality show “on the grounds that it is purportedly detrimental to the children.”

Gosselin has since made the rounds on numerous television shows and has also been featured in exclusive interviews, claiming that the show is “not healthy” for his kids.

It has been a rough few weeks for Jon. He has been summarily trashed by Nancy Grace and ordered by a judge earlier this week to put back $180,000 that he took from the family’s joint household account.

Now it appears that the network that showered the family with riches beyond anything they had ever imagined, has finally lowered the boom on Mr. Gosselin. It is beginning to look like the ‘jig is up’ Jon. We’re just saying…
