Country music superstar Carrie Underwood has been tapped to sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl. She recently announced her plan to wed NHL player Mike Fishersee engagement photos here.

The former “American Idol” champ and four-time Grammy-award winner won’t be the only one singing America’s praises; Queen Latifa will perform “America the Beautiful” and rock group The Who will be part of the halftime show.

Underwood, who recently got engaged to Ottawa Senator hockey star Mike Fisher, joins other big names who have sung the national anthem at the game, includiing Beyonce, Billy Joel and Whitney Houston.

Super Bowl XLIV will be broadcast Sunday, February 7 on CBS.
