Joran Van der Sloot, the main suspect in the 2005 disappearance of Natalee Holloway in Aruba, has made a new confession, which is being called a mixture of “lies and fantasy.”
According to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Van der Sloot’s second confession came during an interview with a German television station. His claim that he disposed of Holloway’s body in the marshes on the Caribbean island has been dismissed as “very unbelievable” by Aruba’s chief prosecutor, Peter Blanken.
In a previous confession (see video), Van der Sloot claimed Holloway died accidentally and he dumped her body at sea.
Officials doubt the latest confession, saying if Van der Sloot were telling the truth he would say exactly where Holloway’s body is hidden.
Holloway was 18 when she was last seen leaving a bar in Aruba on the last night of a high school graduation trip. Her body has never been found.
