On May 10, ‘The View’ co-host Barbara Walter announced that she would be taking a break for the summer to take care of some medical issues and would be undergoing surgery to replace a faulty heart valve.
“You know how healthy I have been – never missed a days work. I have known of this condition for a while now and my doctors and I have decided that this is the best time to do surgery, since the summer is coming up, I can take a nice vacation.”
The procedure was a success and she is returning to her day time talk show. Initially Barbara will not be sitting at the round table but plans to Skype live, beginning with the July 12th broadcast.
