Late night talk show host David Letterman finally appeared on The View. His appearance on the hit morning talk show kicked off the season premiere and the return of host Barbara Walters, who has been on a three month hiatus from ABC while recovering from heart valve replacement surgery.
As might be expected, Barbara and Dave chatted about their medical procedures. Letterman also regaled the women with some amusing stories about his six-year-old son Harry.
A sad revelation on this morning’s show was an announcement by Whoopi Goldberg that her mother Emma Johnson passed away on August 29 – photos and video here.
