Katy Perry may be getting a bum rap — or so it would seem. Sesame Street bowed to public opinion last week when they decided that the talented musician was quite simply too racy to romp with the likes of Elmo.
Do we detect a double standard? We offer as Exhibit A – the lovely and equally talented Miss Piggy. A central character of Sesame Street, she has been flaunting her voluptuous body since 1974.
The lovelorn pig even wrote a book, Miss Piggy’s Guide to Life, which wound up on top of the New York Times Bestseller list.
Perry was the musical guest over the weekend on Saturday Night Live. She performed in a skit while rocking her cleavage in a revealing Elmo themed shirt.
