Supermodel-turned-talk-show-host Tyra Banks has been sued by the mother of a teen who appeared as a guest on The Tyra Show.

Georgia resident Beverly McClendon filed a $3 million suit against Banks and producers of the talk show after her 15-year-old daughter appeared on an episode about sex addiction.

McClendon filed suit in an Atlanta federal court earlier this month, claiming Tyra, Warner Bros. execs and producers of The Tyra Show did not have parental consent to air the story of her 15-year-old daughter Jewel Ciera Washington.

McClendon, a licensed social worker, claims the show’s producers contacted her daughter and invited her to appear as a guest on the ‘sexual addiction’ episode after she answered an open call placed on Banks’ website last October.

The teen was flown unaccompanied to New York, where she was put up in a hotel and allegedly paid for her appearance on the show.

“This show was undoubtedly watched by sexual deviants, perverts and pedophiles alike,” McClendon contends in the suit. She also asserts the teen’s right to privacy was violated.

In addition to $3 million in damages, McClendon is seeking an injunction against any future airings of the program, which still appears in repeats on the CW network.
