Big Ben engaged …
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger led his team to victory in the AFC Championship game and will go head to head against the NFC Champion Green Bay Packers led by Aaron Rodgers. The hottest question right now seems to be — who do these guys date?
As it turns out, Rodgers is still playing the field but Big Ben, 28, got engaged over Christmas to New Castle, Pennsylvania native and physicians assistant Ashley Harlan.
Harlan, 25, is a 2004 graduate of Laurel High School where she was a standout in volleyball, basketball and softball. She went on to play softball at St. Francis University Loretto, graduating in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in health science. During her time on campus she was honored with an NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete Award and was a member of the SFU Honor Society.
She went on for her master’s in physician assistant science. Roethlisberger’s fiancee accepted a position in the cardiac surgery department of Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
So what does the NFL superstar have to say about his bride-to-be? Actually his has been mum on the subject. His last response when asked to comment was: “You guys know that I am not going to talk about my personal life.”
It was a ‘tweet’ by Ron Sirak, Executive Editor of Golf World, that let the cat out of the bag. He said: “Word that Roethlisberger is going to tie the knot in July is great news. That and charity work show he’s a changing guy.”
We hate to bring a damper to this good news but we would be remiss if we didn’t offer up details and photos from Big Ben’s sordid past.
