Many close family members and friends are breathing a sigh of relief today after Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen voluntarily entered an undisclosed rehab facility for treatment of substance and alcohol addiction.
According to his rep, the actor is asking for privacy and “is most grateful to all who have expressed their concern.”
The subject of Sheen and his path to destruction has the media in a frenzy. His latest 36-hour bender ended with an emergency 911 call and his hospitalization.
Charlie’s latest trip to the ER was reportedly not an overdose but most suspect his drug and alcohol fueled partying played a part in his most recent medical situation. CBS executive producer Chuck Lorre announced that Two and a Half Men will go on an extended hiatus and ended with: “We are profoundly concerned for his health and well-being, and support his decision.”
