Ambam, a Western lowland gorilla, is an Internet sensation after a YouTube video was posted by British animal researcher Johanna Watson. The primate walks like a human.
The 21-year-old silverback, who weighs 485 pounds, was filmed strolling the grounds at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park.
Gorilla keeper Phil Ridges said: “Ambam’s father Bitam used to display the same behavior if he had handfuls of food to carry. Ambam also has a full sister, Tamba, and a half sister … who also sometimes stand and walk in the same manner.
