Word spread like wildfire that “Golden Voice” Ted Williams was back in rehab but upon further review, it turns out he only went to visit his girlfriend Kathy at Safe Harbor facility in Costa Mesa, CA.
Ted left Origins Recovery Center in South Texas against doctors advice last week and thus far is still on the outside looking in.
Over the weekend he was in the company of two ‘handlers’ when he showed up to spend a half hour with his lady love. He reportedly went there to tell Kathy that when she has completed her treatment he would like to married her. Does that mean that they are engaged?
Ted’s 90-year-old mother Julia Williams spoke with People magazine after learning that he son fled rehab. She is not surprised by the news, “I am very sorry that he left, and I am very upset. Certainly I want him to go back. He needs help.”
The irony of this situation must have Dr. Phil scratching his head. He admonished Kathy to enter rehab or he would do everything in his power to break up the couple. Now she is working her program while McGraw’s star pupil has backed away from his recovery plan.
