Jake Muck rhymes with … read Steven Tyler’s lips !
American Idol judge Steven Tyler apologized for his “outrageous behavior” last night during the audition show featuring Austin hopefuls.
The hit FOX reality show began mysteriously with a black screen and the words: “American Idol would like to apologize for last week’s outrageous behavior by Steven Tyler. Mr. Tyler has been warned and assures us it will never happen again.”
If you were scratching your head, you weren’t alone. The only clue to the Aerosmith rocker’s transgression was a clip that played immediately after the apology. Tyler was speaking to contestant Jake Muck: “You know what Muck rhymes with, don’t you? Read my lips.”
The fake apology was actually a publicity stunt according to Ryan Seacrest, who talked about it this morning on his radio show. Teaser clips were broadcast yesterday that insinuated that something major had gone down that needed to be addressed during the show.
