The former Kate has become Catherine …

Just one day after christening a newly commissioned rubber rescue raft at the Trearddur Bay Lifeboat Station in Anglesey, Prince William and Kate Middleton took on more official duties at St. Andrews, Scotland.

The couple were warmly welcomed back to the university where they spent four years studying. Kate and Wills toured their old Art History lecture hall and walked past the residence halls where they lived during their stay.

A crowd of 600 guests were gathered to mark the occasion and kick off a three year appeal to raise $160 million. It was announced that the college had established a $100,000 scholarship in the Royal couple’s honor. The funds will go toward future student tuition fees and accommodations.

Prince William told his audience: “This is a very special moment for Catherine and me. It feels like coming home.”

It has been reported that once Kate becomes a Royal, she will be referred to a Catherine. Based upon William’s remarks earlier today, it has already been initiated. Something tells us that the public won’t be so willing to make the switch.
